Β·Β  Residential Painting

Interior and exterior painting that actually lasts.

Whole-home repaints, single rooms, accent walls, exterior siding, trim, ceilings, and cabinets. Surface prep, drywall repair, primer, two coats β€” same crew throughout. Flat-rate quotes with a 2-year written workmanship warranty.

Residential Service

Painting that holds up to Colorado weather, sun, and time.

Denver's climate is brutal on paint. High UV, wide temperature swings, freeze-thaw cycles on exteriors, low humidity that makes prep critical. Most paint failures we see on Denver homes β€” peeling siding, cracked trim, blotchy interior walls β€” trace back to one of three things: skipped prep, wrong paint grade, or rushed application.

GT502 doesn't rush. Our standard interior process is two coats over primer with 4–6 hours of dry time between coats, depending on humidity. Exterior is power-wash, scrape, sand bare wood, prime exposed substrate, caulk, then two coats of premium acrylic. The difference shows up at year 3, year 5, and year 10 β€” when paint that was applied right is still holding, and paint that wasn't is failing.

Interior painting β€” rooms, whole homes, accent walls

Interior repaints are our most common job. Standard process is masking and floor protection first, then ceiling (if scoped), then walls, then trim and doors last. We work in dust containment when sanding is needed, and we never spray indoor finishes without proper masking β€” overspray on outlets, door hardware, and floors is one of the easiest ways to spot a bad painter.

Exterior painting β€” siding, trim, doors, decks

Exterior repaints in Denver are a 4–7 day project for most homes. Day 1: power wash, dry overnight. Day 2: scrape, sand, caulk, prime bare spots. Day 3–5: two finish coats with proper dry time between. Day 6–7: trim work, garage doors, touch-ups, and final walk-through. We don't paint in temperatures under 50Β°F or over 90Β°F, and we won't apply over wet substrate β€” so weather can shift the timeline by a day or two, but the work doesn't get rushed to fit a calendar.

Our Process

Four steps. Documented. Same every time.

Most homeowners have been burned by a painter who started strong and lost interest by day 3. We follow the same documented process on every job, regardless of size or season.

Free on-site walkthrough. We measure square footage, count rooms, ID drywall repair, and write up the scope. Written quote within 48 hours, flat-rate, no "starting at" estimates.

ii.

Prep β€” 60% of the Job

Drop cloths, masking, dust containment. Surface wash, scrape, sand, caulk gaps, fill nail holes, drywall patches if needed. Primer on bare or stained substrate. This is where good painters earn their fee.

iii.

Paint β€” Two Coats Minimum

Premium paint, two finish coats, proper dry time between. Cut-in by hand, roll the field, brush trim. We don't spray over a roller-textured wall. We don't roll over spray. The finish is consistent because the application is consistent.

iv.

Walk-Through & Warranty

Final walk-through with you, flashlight in hand. Touch-ups handled on the spot. Site cleaned, drop cloths removed, masking pulled. Written 2-year workmanship warranty handed over with the invoice.

Common Questions

Residential painting, answered.

How long does an interior repaint take?

A 3-bedroom Denver home interior repaint is typically 3–5 days with a 2–3 person crew. Single rooms are usually 1 day. Whole-home repaints with trim, doors, and ceilings can run 5–7 days. We give you a written timeline before work starts and stick to it within a day or two for weather/dry-time variation.

Do I have to move out during the work?

No. Most clients stay home throughout. We work room-by-room, contain dust during prep, and use low-VOC paint by default so the smell is minimal. Bedrooms are typically painted during the day and are sleepable that night. Kitchen cabinets are the one job that needs the cabinets out of service for 2–3 days.

What about pets and kids?

Both fine to be home. We mask off the active work area each day and confirm boundaries with you before starting. For dogs that get anxious around vacuums or sanders, we recommend confining them to a different floor or yard during noisy phases β€” usually 2–3 hours total per day.

Can you match an existing color?

Yes. Bring us a chip, a paint can lid, or even a piece of trim β€” we color-match at the local Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore. For really tricky matches (faded sun-side exterior vs. shaded north side, for example), we test patches first and adjust before committing the whole wall.

Do you handle drywall repair before painting?

Always β€” and this is what sets us apart from most Denver painters. Holes, water damage, settling cracks, popped nails, taping seams β€” we handle it all in-house with the same crew. No separate drywall contractor, no separate quote, no waiting two weeks between drywall and paint.

What's the warranty?

2-year written workmanship warranty on all interior and exterior painting. If paint fails because of our application β€” peeling, cracking, blistering, drywall seams telegraphing β€” we come back and fix it free. Manufacturer warranties on the paint itself are separate (most premium paints carry 10–25 year manufacturer warranties on the product).
